Introduction
BEVS 3380 Multifunction UV Weather Tester is suitable for the water exposure aging test of nonmetallic materials such as coatings. Ultraviolet rays in sunlight are the main factors causing oxidative degradation of polymers, and moisture is an important destructive factor accelerating aging.
Main Functions
Irradiation
Florescent lamps emit stable levels of UV with low failure rates. Their normal service life is 2000 hours. UVA-340 lamps and UVB-313 lamps are available to simulate the harmful UV in sunlight.
UVA-340 lamps realistically reproduce sunlight in the short-wave UV region, commonly used in photodegradation testing for outdoor products.
UVB-313 lamps give a simulation of short-wave UV, most of which is below 300nm. They are mainly used for accelerated durability testing of materials and qualitative comparison of more than two types of materials.
Condensation
By heating the water in the base sink, water vapor is emitted into the air. When encountering air with a lower temperature, the water vapor continuously condenses into tiny water droplets on the sample surface, simulating the phenomenon of condensation on the sample
Water spray
Nozzles continuously spray deionized water onto the front side of specimens in order to simulate rain. By exposing materials to drastic temperature changes and rainfall, they are tested for water resistance, thermal shock resistance and mechanical resistance.
* Light and water spray can operate at the same time.
Temperature and humidity control
With the air and humidity control system, testing panel surface is maintained at the set temperature and the humidity inside the test chamber is maintained at the set range. With the light/darkness, the chamber can simulate different conditions, such as high humidity in darkness, dryness at high temperatures, and dryness.
