Specific gravity cups made of high-strength aluminum or stainless steel are available in 50cc, 100cc, and 83.3cc (U.S. gallon) sizes. Balancing weights are also available for use with laboratory double pan balances. The specific gravity cups are manufactured with a closed volume tolerance of ±0.2% when the temperature varies from 15°C to 25°C.
